Austin Forkner matches season-best result in east Rutherford

Austin Forkner's hard work and dedication has paid dividends in East Rutherford's MetLife Stadium; he broke through to equal his season-best finish of seventh in the 250SX main event. The performance at round 14 of the 2025 AMA Supercross Championship underlined his potential on Triumph Factory Racing's TF 250-X.
Forkner was immediately competitive on Saturday morning, as he posted the fourth-fastest time in 250SX qualification and was just under two tenths down on the polesitter. Delivering excellent pace, he transferred into the main event via a fourth-place result in his heat race.
Using the power of the TF 250-X and his newfound confidence, Forkner stormed into fifth early in the main and held the position with ease. It was an impressive showing – he recorded consistent lap times and was unchallenged. A small mistake towards the end caused him to drop to seventh, but it was still his best result since round two and one that will provide valuable momentum moving forward. The 15 points gained helped him launch to 11th in the championship standings, just three points from the top 10.
Eager to continue this positive run of form and cement his position at the front of the 250SX East pack, Austin Forkner will travel to Pittsburgh's Acrisure Stadium for the division's penultimate event on April 26.

"I qualified well, and could see improvements in both my aggression and riding. I was third in the heat before a crash but still ended up fourth. I had a good start in the main event; I just did not have the intensity at the start of the race. I was a little pumped up around halfway and was jumping the second set of the whoops but hit a hole and ended up crashing out of fifth. I got seventh, which is still progress. We will take that and build on it!"
Jeremy Coker – General Manager, Triumph Racing America
"Today was a massive step in the right direction for Austin and the team. I am very proud of all involved; Austin made huge improvements. The heat race was good as was his aggression. The track was tough to pass on in the main event; he was comfortable in fifth until a small fall. It is a positive step. We will continue to work hard to put the TF 250-X where it belongs."
